Parent & Spectator Code Of Conduct
At Strathpine Little Athletics, we’re committed to creating a positive, supportive and inclusive environment where all children can thrive. As parents and carers, your encouragement and involvement are essential. Please help us uphold the values of fun, family and fairness by following our Code of Conduct:

What We Ask of You:
-
Encourage participation – focus on effort and enjoyment, not just results.
-
Be a positive role model – show respect for all athletes, officials, and volunteers.
-
Support fair play – praise good sportsmanship and teamwork.
-
Respect decisions – allow officials and coaches to do their jobs without interference.
-
Let kids be kids – don’t place pressure or unrealistic expectations on young athletes.
-
Stay calm and courteous – no yelling, arguing, or negative sideline behaviour.
-
Get involved – lend a hand where you can; Little Athletics runs on volunteers!
-
Celebrate improvement – personal bests are more important than podiums.
-
Promote safety – ensure your child is in the correct uniform, has water, and understands the rules.
-
Communicate respectfully – raise concerns constructively and through the right channels.

Let’s work together to make athletics a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for every child.

Athlete Code of Conduct
At Strathpine Little Athletics, we want every athlete to have fun, feel supported, and do their best. Here’s how you can help create a great environment for yourself and others:

As an athlete, I will:
-
Always try my best – effort matters more than winning!
-
Be respectful to other athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers.
-
Be kind – bullying, teasing or excluding others will not be tolerated.
-
Listen to instructions and follow the rules of each event.
-
Encourage others, cheer on my teammates and show good sportsmanship.
-
Celebrate everyone’s efforts, not just wins
-
Accept results and decisions, even if I don’t always agree.
-
Treat equipment and facilities with care and help tidy up when I can.
-
Wear the correct uniform and bring what I need (water bottle, hat, etc.).
-
Have fun! Athletics is about learning, improving, and enjoying the sport.
Remember: every PB (Personal Best) is a win. Let’s support each other and make every Friday night something to look forward to!

🚫 Bullying of any kind is not accepted on or off the field. If you see or experience behaviour that makes you feel uncomfortable, please speak to your Age Group Marshall or a committee member straight away. We’re here to help.
