Parent Help
In order to run a full program, assistance from parents is essential. Help is required to set up the events before competition starts, and we require at least 80 helpers on the oval to run a full program of competition successfully. If this help is not available, then it may be necessary to run a shortened program or there are delays, and it is the children who miss out. A Parent Help levy of $45 per family is in operation and this is refundable if the parents complete 10 eligible forms of parent assistance during the season. Please see the list below for eligible tyoes of assistance. A minimum of 3 of the 10 must be after the Christmas break. There are twenty-two (22) days of competition at the Centre and further assistance can be covered at Regional/State competitions. Please do your share and enjoy watching your child compete at the same time. As we are hosting both Regional Competitions this season, all parents will be asked to assist on these days. Athletes are unable to compete at field events unsupervised due to the risk of injury.
You must record your name on the parent help roster sheet which is in each age folder when you have assisted.
These sheets in the folders are the ones used to record the Parent helpers for refund purposes. If assisting on the track - eg timekeeping or starting, names are recorded at timekeeping.
Specific duties which can count towards parent help include: (for the duration of competition)
-
Assisting at a field event
-
Age Marshalling (maximum of 3 per group responsible for looking after the group and recording their results, measuring and retrieving at field events)
-
Time Keeping
-

-
Assisting at Regional Relays and Individuals
-

-

ALL CHILDREN IN ALL AGE GROUPS MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN (OVER 18 ) IN ATTENDANCE AT THE VENUE FOR THE DURATION OF COMPETITION
ANY ATHLETE WHO DOES NOT HAVE A PARENT OR APPOINTED GUARDIAN AT THE VENUE, WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO COMPETE IN THE EVENTS UNTIL A PARAENT OR GUARDIAN ARRIVES.
